Size guide

How to know your ring size?

It is important to know your ring size in order to avoid ending up with a ring that is too tight which risks injuring you or, on the contrary, with a ring that is too loose which risks slipping off your finger.

Measuring the diameter of a ring

If you already have a ring that fits your finger size, and especially one that you are used to wearing, you can use this ring to find your size, by following the following steps:

- Place the ring on a flat surface

- Measure the diameter of the inner face of the ring. To do this, the ruler must join the left inner face and the right inner face of the ring. Be careful to measure the place with the widest diameter, and to hold the ruler straight.

- Report the diameter in the ring size correspondence table and determine the size of your ring

Use a flat, metal ruler for more precise measurement

If the diameter of the ring falls between two sizes, it is recommended to take the larger size

This method is one of the simple and inexpensive methods. However, the measurement cannot be 100% reliable because it is not easy to determine the place with the widest diameter. Just shift a millimeter or don't hold the ruler straight, and the ring won't fit you. So take all necessary precautions when measuring your ring and do not hesitate to repeat the measurement several times to get the right size.

Measure the finger circumference

If you don't have a lucky ring at your disposal, you can measure the circumference of your finger. To do this, follow the following steps:

- Wind a non-stretchable string or a strip of paper one cm thick at the level of the second phalanx, at the widest point of your finger. The string or paper should not be too tight or too loose because in both cases, the measured size will not be the correct one

- Mark where the string or paper is cut

- Place the string or paper on a flat surface

- Measure the distance between the end of the string or paper and the marking. This distance corresponds to your finger size.

- Transfer the measurement to the ring size correspondence table and determine the size of your ring

You can use a measuring tape instead of string or paper, which will make the task easier because you will get your finger measurement directly.

If the finger size is between two sizes, it is recommended to take the larger size

The size of your finger varies depending on the time of day and the heat of your finger. This is why it is advisable to take this measurement at the end of the day (time when your finger is warmest), because the cold tends to shrink the finger.

Measuring the circumference of the finger is a good method for determining the correct ring size. However, to ensure that the size taken is the correct one, do not hesitate to repeat this method several times.
